Do you think a woman can ruin things by coming on too strong in the beginning?

I've been the one to make the moves on this guy but he has been very attentive on our two dates, acting like he is totally into me, without getting or anything. I'm not just imagining that he is interested. He said he is interested in me & not just for one thing. However, I'm the one making the moves by calling him and sending him texts. He responds back to my texts & phone calls, so he must at least be a little interested. I do believe if he was really interested, he would be calling and sending me texts. For him to wait for me to make the moves shows he isn't that interested, don't you think, even though he acts interested when we go out? I know when I'm not interested I avoid the texts & phone calls & act very disinterested on the dates, obviously so. So, what do you think? Is it too late for me to play hard to get? Thx.
