What should I do if denied unemployment benefits?
Yeah unemployment in your state has fallen prey to a nationwide trend they are allowing employers to dispute peoples unemployment claim saying they were fired for misconduct. There was a news article about this you can look it up. I would fight this decision an ask unemployment were is the proof an why this employer didn't complain earlier. Then I would ask for a review of my case with the appeals tribunal adding that this is a nationwide trend to deny people claims an why this employer is now stating false accusations. If they have no proof of them firing you then they should be fined. You are allowed to have a lawyer present in the Appeals process in my state an I would definitely think about getting one This is your best course of Action they are tarnishing your name with the state an with future employers..
