Why do upperclman treat freshman so bad?

NO it happens in every school it's terrible. I'm a sophmore today and last year i MOVED from another state! (nyc) it was like double on me. So when i started school again, I got a good good look of the faces of the freshmen, most were terrified, they looked like puppies i wanted to adoped them all :]. So, being the hippie that I am, I was as nice and helpful as possible. I believe I've done a good deed. :)
