Who is the more villain, Johann from Monster, or Light from Death Note and why?

I saw this as a discussion on youtube and absolutely had to resurrect it here!!! Best duel for bad guys ever because they're both awesome (in a creepy way) :D Who is more intelligent, sadistic, etc.? And if they both were in the same show who would kill who first? Only answer if you have seen both shows.
