Do you think having a disabled child is a blessing or a curse?

My daughter (she's 14) has severe cerebral palsy and cannot walk or care for herself in any way, physically speaking she is helpless. She's very frail/small for her age and depends on me for everything (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting her/cleaning her etc). Her mind is perfectly normal though and she's very bright, she is also just a very beautiful girl overall. Why do people always say to me "Oh I'm so sorry" ?. I've even gotten "I'm so sorry for you loss" as if it is something terrible. She has become the absolute love of my life. I never thought I could love anyone like this. I have shed many tears because she's struggled and I wish life could be easier for her and I have wondered why she was born like this, but my love for her is completely unconditional and I enjoy caring for her and helping her, she really is a blessing to me. Do you think having a disabled child is a blessing or something bad?
